Benefitting from Perdomo's complete vertical integration, the Small Batch Maduro is built exclusively from Cuban-seed tobaccos grown on the Perdomo family's many farms throughout Nicaragua. The leaves are then aged for a whopping 10 years before being specially sorted, only selecting the smallest, most potent varieties for the final blend. But it is the dark Cuban-seed Nicaraguan maduro wrapper that makes this blend sing, being finished in oak barrels formerly containing bourbon whiskey.
