Nearly a decade after introducing the fan-favorite Sobremesa cigar as the first project from Dunbarton Tobacco & Trust, company owner/founder, Steve Saka, made the decision to (subtly) re-brand the line as Sobremesa Solita (as Solita is Spanish for Little Sun, alluding to the cigar's sun-grown wrapper).
Aside from the name change, the Solita cigar is the Sobremesa we all know and love, featuring expert craftsmanship out of the famed Joya de Nicaragua factory. The blend is Grade A as well, including a sun-grown Ecuadorian Habano wrapper, a Mexican Matacapan Negro de Temporal binder, and cigar nerd-worthy fillers of Nicaraguan GK Condega C-SG, Pueblo Nuevo Criollo, La Joya Estelí C-98, ASP Estelí Hybrid Ligero, and Pennsylvania-grown Broadleaf ligero.
What does the Sobremesa Solita Short Churchill cigar taste like?
Sized at only 4¾" x 48, this little guy is indeed short (at least when compared to the seven inches of a conventional Churchill). But sometimes a short smoke is exactly what the Dr ordered, allowing for a high-quality smoking experience at a moment's notice! Whether smoking on the road, mowing the lawn, or during a lunch break, the Sobremesa Solita Short Churchill cigar gets the job done, showing off a medium-full intensity and stick-to-your-ribs flavors of earth, toasted oak, leather, and plenty of mocha goodness.
