Caldwell Cigar Co. first debuted in 2014 with a trio of eye-catching cigars under a series dubbed "Caldwell Collection." In the years following, these cigars—Eastern Standard, The King is Dead, and Long Live the King—have each received blend tweaks and line extensions, offering familiar smoking experiences with a fresh twist. In the case of Long Live the King, this came in the form of a Habano-wrapped blend known as Savages in 2016.
Caldwell Savages swaps the Dominican Corojo wrapper of the original cigar with a Habano variant. Aside from this, the blend is undisclosed. Like the original LLTK cigar, Savages is hand-crafted at the boutique-style Tabacalera William Ventura factory in the Dominican Republic. Crafted in small batches, the cigars offer superior construction and fine-tuned flavor nuances from start to finish. This includes a medium-plus intensity and precise flavors of milk chocolate, charred steak, cedar, red pepper, and natural floral sweetness through the finish.
