Only one year after Royal Agio struck a chord with cigar enthusiasts—introducing a pair of affordable blends under the San Pedro de Macorís banner—the company returned with an additional two offerings.
One such cigar is the San Pedro de Macorís Nicaragua, appropriately named for the blend's added influence of Nicaraguan tobacco. Nearly all cigars in the San Pedro de Macorís collection feature a similar core recipe, which was carefully developed at the Agio Caribbean Tobacco Factory in the DR over the course of multiple years, aiming to deliver the best possible smoking experience in an affordable price range. Aside from the cigars' shared ingredients of a Dominican Olor binder and fillers of both Brazil (Mata Fina) and the DR (Olor & Piloto), the San Pedro de Macorís Nicaragua differentiates itself through the added inclusion of Nicaraguan tobaccos in both the filler and wrapper. It is the latter leaf that is perhaps the most significant, showcasing an oily Nicaraguan Habano wrapper.
This diverse collection of tobaccos translates into a medium-to-full-bodied experience, catering more towards a full dose of flavor above all else. Smokers can expect an easily approachable experience, boasting a clean draw, a booming smoke output, and lively flavors of juicy fruit, cedar, pepper, toasted oak, earth, and salted/roasted nuts.
