San Pedro de Macorís is a Dominican province (one of the DR's 10 largest) located along the country's south-eastern coast. In addition, it is now the name of one of the most attractive daily smokes in the premium cigar arena!
Carrying a price range of $4.25–$5.00, San Pedro de Macorís strikes the perfect balance of premium flavor and affordability. The cigars are named for the city in which they are made, rolled at the Agio Caribbean Tobacco factory in the town of San Pedro de Macorís.
Clean and modern packaging with bold colors make way for two distinct cigars: San Pedro de Macorís Ecuador and San Pedro de Macorís Brazil. Each cigar features the same filler/binder ingredients, using a Dominican binder and fillers of the DR (including a high-quality Piloto Cubano ligero leaf) and Brazil. The cigars are then wrapped in a light-shade Connecticut leaf or a dark Brazilian Arapiraca leaf. While both cigars are close to medium in body, smokers can expect a more silky, creamy experience from the Ecuador; meanwhile, the Brazil showcases a heavier smoke, with notes of earth, cocoa, and molasses.
