Combining the best of both worlds in terms of cigar shapes, A.J. Fernández introduced the San Lotano Oval Habano cigar in 2011. Not quite a traditional parejo, not quite a box-press, the Oval is wider than it is tall when looking down the barrel. But it's not simply a fun concept, as the shape is incredibly comfortable when smoking, simultaneously benefitting from a cool smoking temperature and an ideal melding of the tobaccos within the filler.

The San Lotano Oval Habano cigar differs from the traditional San Lotano Habano cigar through the use of an Ecuadorian Habano 2000 wrapper. This leaf is joined by a Nicaraguan binder and fillers of Nicaragua, Honduras, and an undisclosed "A.J.'s secret" component.
