Room 101 Farce Maduro

Farce (/färs/): noun: "a comic dramatic work using buffoonery and horseplay and typically including crude characterization and ludicrously improbable situations."

For those familiar with Room101 owner, Matt Booth, this description seems custom tailored for Booth's persona; he couldn't have chosen a better name to kick off the company's core collection for the modern era. After launching the Room101 Farce cigar in 2018, the mild-mannered Farce Connecticut arrived not long after. Finally, in 2019, the Farce collection received its third entrant with the Room101 Farce Maduro cigar, allowing for a wide range of smoking profiles throughout the three-piece series.

The Farce Maduro cigar followed the Dominican path laid out by the former Farce cigars, utilizing the talents of the boutique-minded Tabacalera William Ventura factory. In terms of recipe, the Room101 Farce Maduro cigar is stuffed to the brim with maduro leaves. This includes two Broadleaf selections in the filler, as well as the cigar's signature Mexican San Andrés maduro wrapper (that's a lot of gritty tobacco!). These leaves are complimented by an Ecuadorian Sumatra binder and Nicaraguan tobaccos in the filler.

What does the Room101 Farce Maduro cigar taste like?

Balanced and poised from the jump, this smoke ain't no farce ... Expect a medium-full body and dark yet surprisingly smooth flavors of churned soil, rain-soaked hardwoods, chicory coffee, and raw cocoa.
