RoMa Craft Tobac is the creation of Michael Rosales (the "Ro" in RoMa) and Skip Martin (the "Ma"), two cigar enthusiasts that had dabbled in various sectors of the premium cigar market before teaming up to introduce the now-ubiquitous powerhouse known as RoMa Craft.
The company was officially launched in 2012, one year after building the Fabrica de Tabacos Nica Sueño S.A. factory in Estelí. With complete control over the manufacturing process, RoMa Craft has prided itself on small-batch consistency from the very beginning. RoMa Craft deploys a traditional approach to cigarmaking, packing a massive amount of tobacco into each cigar's filler, allowing for long and flavorful smoking experiences while maintaining a smooth draw and surprisingly affordable price points.
Much of RoMa Craft's cigar lines are historically based, including three blends that have been inspired by early man (CroMagnon, Aquitaine, and Neanderthal), and three that revolve around the Prohibition era in the United States (Intemperance EC XVIII, Intemperance BA XXI, and Whiskey Rebellion 1794). While RoMa Craft has never been one to shy away from diverse tobacco blends (often using Dominican, Brazilian, Indonesian, and African tobaccos, among others), the brand is clearly centered around Nicaragua and the country's notoriously fiery characteristics. As such, nearly all RoMa Craft cigars rank as medium (or higher) in body, offering craft enthusiasts a winning combination of deep, rich flavor, affordable prices, and stalwart dependability.
