Partagas 1845 Extra Fuerte is the reincarnated expression of the original Extra Fuerte cigar from 2014. In 2017, the company overhauled the entire 1845 series (including three unique blends), with modernized packaging and tweaked blends, giving a more consistent and deliberate look/feel and smoking profiles throughout the entire collection.
For those that retained a little Spanish lingo from high school Spanish 101, you may recall "fuerte" (don't forget to roll those R's) translates to mean "strong." And with a cigar dubbed "Extra Fuerte," well, we think you know the general concept here. To accomplish Extra Fuerte's signature strength, Partagas has jam-packed Dominican and Nicaraguan ligero leaves (the highest/strongest tobacco priming) throughout the cigar's filler blend; this is paired with a Connecticut Habano binder and an Ecuadorian Habano Ligero (there's that priming again) wrapper.
The resulting profile is medium/full in body, offering fiery-yet-balanced flavors of bitter earth, black pepper, espresso powder, charred oak, and a sweet backbone of raw cocoa.
