The Nestor Miranda Collection Connecticut is, of course, the most "tame" smoking experience within the recently modernized collection of cigars by Miami Cigar & Company and the highly respected Miranda family.
The entire collection is rolled at the famed My Father Cigars factory in Estelí under the watchful eyes of the García family. And although nearly every cigar in the collection was reimagined in 2014 (to celebrate the company's 25th anniversary), the fan-favorite Connecticut blend has remained the same.
Fans of the Garcías know that master blender Don Pepín has become synonymous with "pepper spice," but the Nestor Miranda Collection Connecticut shows restraint. For this refined cigar, Pepín has used an Ecuadorian Connecticut wrapper in conjunction with a Nicaraguan binder and fillers of Dominican and Nicaraguan tobaccos. This amounts to a mild to medium-bodied blend, showing smooth and creamy nuances of sweet cedar, light doses of white pepper, table cream, salted butter, and toasted bread. This is a relaxing smoking profile that far outperforms its modest price point.
