Once known as My Uzi Weighs a Ton, Drew Estate re-branded this bold brand (for obvious reasons) with the acronym of the original: MUWAT. The cigars are a true collaboration between Drew Estate (more specifically, Drew Estate's in-house Subculture Studios) and their long-time allies in Joya de Nicaragua.
MUWAT began its journey on one of Drew Estate's Cigar Safari tours during a blending session at the Joya de Nicaragua factory. Drew Estate President and Founder, Jonathan Drew, brought leaves from the DE factory over to Joya, combined them with Joya's tobaccos, and the resulting blend was later tweaked into the MUWAT we know and love today. Officially, this includes a San Andrés negro wrapper, Ecuadorian Connecticut Shade binder, and fillers of Brazilian Mata Fina and Nicaragua (i.e. the Joya component).
This robust yet lively blend of tobaccos is rolled at the famed Joya de Nicaragua factory (aka the first and oldest factory in Nicaragua), showcasing a medium-full intensity and distinct flavors of mountainous pine, toasted hardwoods, warm leather, cocoa, and natural sweetness.
