The cigars are the creation of Oscar Valladares and Jim “Island Jim” Robinson, originally crafting the cigars as limited editions and later expanding the series on an ongoing basis. Story has it that the duo were headed out of Oscar's factory in Honduras with an armful of road 'gars; looking for added protection for the raw sticks, the cigars were haphazardly wrapped in an additional tobacco leaf and... voilà, the Leaf by Oscar cigar was born!
