For the Gomez family, owners of the beloved La Flor Dominicana brand, cigarmaking is a family affair. This began with Litto Gomez and his wife, Ines, and has now continued with their sons Tony Gomez and Litto Gomez Jr.
Inspired by the LFD La Nox cigar (one of Tony Gomez's first projects), Litto JR. showcases the LFD Solis as the yin to the former's yang. Where La Nox centered around a dark tobacco recipe and branding, the Solis represents light. The name stems from the Spanish sol word for sun, offering a bright and colorful presentation and an engaging smoking experience to match.
What does the La Flor Dominicana Solis cigar taste like?
The LFD Solis cigar begins with an Ecuadorian Habano wrapper, surrounding an Ecuadorian Sumatra binder and all-Dominican fillers from LFD's La Canela farm. This makes for a medium-full intensity and bright complexities that dance across the palate. Expect flavors of fresh-cut wood, mineral-rich soil, funky Dominican aromatics, and some dried fruit sweetness to tie it all together.
