Joining the likes of Diamond Crown, Sobremesa, Crowned Heads, Undercrown, and many, many others, La Flor Dominicana humbly offers the LFD Coronado—befitted with a bright and colorful crown deserving of the cigar’s regal performance.
Coronado was first introduced in 2006 to rave reviews from cigar critics. However, the brand lacked the recognizable LFD name, and consumers didn’t connect the premium blend with its famed creators. Alas, in 2015 the blend returned, this time sure to turn heads in the humidor. Reviving the original blend, LFD Coronado is now gaining tremendous ground amongst critics and consumers alike—noted for its goodly strength and diverse flavor profile.
The cigars are crafted by Litto Gomez at his factory in the Dominican Republic, using Dominican tobaccos in the filler/binder and a rust-hued Nicaraguan Habano wrapper. This combination produces an assortment of nostril-zinging spices straight away, followed by savory meats, leather, muted notes of creamy macadamia nuts, and a satisfying graham cracker sweetness. This is an absolute thrill-ride of chalky, rich flavors from start to finish.
La Flor Dominicana Coronado has placed on Cigar Aficionado’s famed Top 25 list on more than one occasion, receiving the No. 2 Cigar of the Year in 2006, and the No. 24 Cigar of the Year in 2015.
