First coming onto the premium cigar scene in the mid-'90s, La Flor Dominicana (LFD) has since risen to become one of the world's most respected cigar manufacturers, crafting their own cigars in small batches out of the Dominican Republic. Though LFD encapsulates a wide variety of smoking profiles, they are traditionally known for full-bodied smoking experiences with dark and oily wrappers.
But the La Flor Dominicana Cameroon Lancero cigar breaks with the norms, instead being blended for refinement and nuance. Indeed, an African Cameroon wrapper (known for its sophisticated flavor, as well as being a difficult leaf to procure) has been selected to pair with LFD's signature Dominican interior, being rolled in the connoisseur-favorite lancero vitola.
What does the La Flor Dominicana Cameroon Lancero cigar taste like?
Intricate. Delicate. Spicy-sweet! The LFD Cameroon Lancero cigar is a limited offering, being rolled only when the right materials are in sufficient supply. The cigar is sized at a 7½" x 38 lancero, with the thin ring gauge allowing for added influence from the cigar's prized Cameroon wrapper. Additionally, this makes for a concentrated smoke onto the palate, offering spicy-sweet characteristics of red pepper, toasted cedar, brown sugar, and touches of cinnamon.
