After Ashton's La Aroma de Cuba Mi Amor line became one of the most acclaimed Nicaraguan maduro blends on the market—debuting in 2008—the company was quick to follow up with the La Aroma de Cuba Mi Amor Reserva, i.e. the Mi Amor's brawny sibling.
La Aroma de Cuba Mi Amor Reserva is produced in Nicaragua at the famed My Father Cigars factory. Here, under the watchful eye of renowned blender, Don Pepín García, the Reserva benefits from top-grade tobaccos and craftsmanship. The cigars are similar in makeup to the original Mi Amor blend, boasting all-Nicaraguan binder and fillers and finished with a dark Mexican San Andrés oscuro wrapper. But the Reserva has a few tricks up its sleeves, incorporating higher-priming leaves throughout the blend. This equates to a fuller smoking experience, showing dark and punchy characteristics of black pepper, dark cocoa, espresso, burnt caramel, and rich leather.
