For the third year running, Joya de Nicaragua showcases a limited offshoot of their fan-favorite Cuatro Cinco Reserva Especial cigar for the Tobacconists' Association of America (TAA). The cigar at hand is the Joya de Nicaragua Cuatro Cinco Reserva Especial TAA 2023, offering the famed Cuatro Cinco blend in a special 6" x 54 box-pressed torpedo.
The Cuatro Cinco Reserva Especial TAA 2023 cigar has been limited to only 500 boxes of 10 cigars, showcasing a Criollo wrapper from Nicaragua (Jalapa) over a Dominican binder and fillers from Nicaragua. Giving the cigar its special sauce, the finished cigars are placed in spent white oak barrels and allowed to age for one year.
What does the JDN Cuatro Cinco Reserva Especial TAA 2023 cigar taste like?
The Cuatro Cinco Reserva Especial has been a fan-favorite smoking experience since its original release in 2013. Ten years later, the cigar is still running strong, with the limited TAA version providing a fun spin on the smoking experience. With a 6" x 54 box-pressed torpedo format, expect a cool smoking temperature and a concentrated smoke onto the palate. This allows the dark, hearty characteristics to shine, hitting standout flavors of leather, toasted oak, baker's cocoa, brown sugar sweetness, and touches of black licorice.
