Hoyo La Amistad is a wildly successful collaboration between General Cigar and A.J. Fernandez—two of the largest and most respected cigarmakers in the world. Hoyo La Amistad (aka La Amistad "Gold") marked the first collaboration between Hoyo de Monterrey and Fernandez; a series that has since expanded to include multiple varieties and smoking profiles.

The blend features an Ecuadorian Habano wrapper, Nicaraguan binder, and all-Nicaraguan filler tobaccos from each of the country's major growing regions. The result is a full-strength cigar that brings some serious flavor.
