Following in the footsteps of 2017's highly acclaimed Hit & Run collaboration between Matt Booth (Room101) and Robert Caldwell (Caldwell Cigar Co.), the artistically minded duo went back for a second round in 2018, treating smokers to the Hit & Run Part Deux (aka Rip & Dip).
Like the original, Hit & Run Part Deux is rolled in limited quantities and boasts a Habano-seed wrapper. Apart from these stats, as well as a familiar appearance, the similarities between the two run dry. This is where Rip & Dip takes on its own identity, featuring a diverse binder/filler recipe that includes selections from the Dominican Republic, Nicaragua, and the U.S.
With an appearance feeling as if it belongs more so in a modern art gallery than your humidor, Hit & Run Part Deux backs it up with an equally attractive smoking experience. Kicking off with a fuller experience than the original Hit & Run, the sequel offers a medium-full body, with atypical flavors of sourdough bread, citrus, ginger snaps, mineral, freshly tilled earth, and layers upon layers of dense cream.
