Herrera Esteli Brazilian Maduro is the untamed sibling of the Herrera Esteli Habano (aka "the OG"), Herrera Esteli Norteño (aka "the Mexican maduro"), and Herrera Esteli Miami (aka "the hometown hero"), debuting in 2018 as the fourth cigar in this iconic lineup from Drew Estate.
While the Herrera Esteli collection has traditionally showcased a more classic, Cuban-esque inspiration, it became clear that a gritty, earthy maduro was missing from the full lineup. Enter the Herrera Esteli Brazilian Maduro, a wild beast of a smoke that combines all-Nicaraguan fillers with a gritty Connecticut Broadleaf binder and, perhaps grittier Plantation-grown Brazilian Mata Fina wrapper.
This heavy-hitting recipe is not for the faint of heart, bursting onto the palate with uncut flavors of mineral-laden soil, wild florals, ripe cherries, black pepper, and bitter-sweet cocoa. The Brazilian Maduro is a medium to medium-plus-bodied smoke that we find pairs best with black French-press coffee, stouts, or smoky Scotch.
