Thirty years in business—it's a feat that few attain in the competitive market of premium cigars. Despite the flood of cigar outfits that entered the scene during the great cigar boom of the early '90s, only a handful remain today. Gurkha Cigars proudly distinguishes themselves as one such company through a commemorative release known as Gurkha Treinta.
The name is logically Spanish for Thirty, celebrating the brand's accomplishments with an ultra-premium selection of tobaccos intended for the discerning palate. This includes the use of all-Nicaraguan tobaccos throughout the binder and filler, harvested from the world-renowned AGANORSA farms throughout the country. This high-grade core is then finished with a select Ecuadorian Habano Rosado wrapper, giving an appropriately radiant appearance to one of the finest Gurkha cigars ever produced. Finally, the cigars are hand-crafted at the boutique-minded TABSA factory in EstelĂ, where traditional Cuban techniques are upheld, such as entubado bunching, triple caps, and more.
The end result is distinct, deeply complex, and unquestionably regal in character. Gurkha Treinta lights up with a medium intensity, opening with aromatic cabinet spices, led by a black pepper kick. The blend then settles, offering a multidimensional experience of clean cedar, roasted nuts, graham cracker, pumpkin spice, and brown sugar through a long and enduring finish.
