"In this corner, wearing blue shorts and a smooth Connecticut Shade wrapper... the fighter with a torch lighter... GURKHA PRIZE FIGHTER!!!"
"And in gold trunks with a dark maduro wrapper... bold and hand-rolled... GURKHA PRIZE FIGHTER MADURO!!!"
Gurkha first launched the affordably priced Prize Fighter brand in 2013 under their East India Trading Company collection. The cigars make use of a Cuban sandwich build, being hand-rolled yet constructed from mixed filler tobaccos in order to offer a premium smoking experience with an approachable price.
Crafted in the Dominican Republic, the standard Prize Fighter boasts a Connecticut Shade wrapper, Sumatra binder, and three-year-aged fillers from the Dominican Republic. This is a a smooth, mild smoke, offering clean flavors of cedar, hay, and buttered crackers. Prize Fighter Maduro takes on an undisclosed maduro wrapper, secured over a Sumatra binder and three-year-aged Dominican fillers. This is a medium-bodied smoke, showing nuances of cocoa, earth, and leather.
