Gurkha Pan American seeks to transport cigar enthusiasts to the winding, mountainous road leading into the most vibrant cigar-producing region in the world: Estelí, Nicaragua. The concept for the cigar was conceived by Gurkha Cigars CEO, Kaizad Hansotia, while making one of his many treks down the historic road—said to be the world's longest "motorable road," stretching from Alaska to lower South America.
Traveling north on the Pan-American Highway from Managua, Nicaragua, travelers will come into direct contact with Estelí, where Gurkha's Pan American is hand-crafted at the American Caribbean factory. This adventurous blend incorporates all-Nicaraguan binder and filler components, topped with a gold-hued Ecuadorian Connecticut wrapper. The cigars are then packaged in a display-worthy box, which is made to resemble vintage steamer trunks used by railroad and steamship travelers in the 1920s.
Gurkha Pan American is mild to medium in body, offering soft and nuanced complexities of white oak, aromatic cabinet spices, buttered crackers, honey, and sweet vanilla—all delivered through a mouthwatering, silky smooth smoking texture. This is one smoke that rewards those willing to make the expedition!
