While Fratello Cigars made a name for themselves working with the oldest cigar factory in Nicaragua (Joya de Nicaragua), they have also been known to work with the oldest cigar factory in the DR (La Aurora S.A.); because clearly these operations have proven the test of time!
With the Fratello Oro, being the most mild experience in the Fratello portfolio, the company has entrusted the latter factory with production. The cigar's name translates to mean Gold, displaying gold-like bands and a clean, luxurious smoking profile. This is attained through the use of a diverse, multinational recipe. For starters, the core blend is sourced from Dominican, Nicaraguan, and Colombian origins. This blend is then bound in an exotic African Cameroon leaf and finalized in a golden-hued Ecuadorian Connecticut Shade wrapper.
The end result is simply masterful, with Fratello Oro showcasing an overall medium body and a layered complexity from start to finish. The profile is bright and citrusy, with nuances of florals, cappuccino, lemon grass, browned butter, nuts, and loads of sweet malt.
