Two years after releasing the well-received Enclave brand in 2015, A.J. Fernandez Cigar Co. returned with a maduro-wrapped followup. Enclave takes its name from the common cigar-smoking theme of brotherhood and camaraderie, providing an enclave for brothers and sisters of the leaf to turn to. With the A.J. Fernandez Enclave Broadleaf, this now includes a dark-wrapped alternative for the maduro fanatic as well.
Enclave Broadleaf consists of largely different tobaccos in comparison to the original. This includes Nicaraguan fillers from the country's popular Estelí and Condega regions, as well as the less common Pueblo Nuevo region. The core blend is bound in a Nicaraguan leaf and finalized in the cigar's signature ingredient: a dark and gritty Connecticut Broadleaf maduro wrapper. The completed blend is medium in body and medium-full in flavor output, boasting highlight flavors of earth, baker's cocoa, dark-roast coffee beans, and dark stone fruit through the finish.
