First released in 2016 as part of Black Works Studio's (BLK WKS) debut offerings, the Killer Bee line has grown to become one of the most beloved series from the boutique brand. This includes the Ecuadorian maduro-wrapped original and the Ecuadorian Connecticut followup, as well as several limited offshoots that have popped up over the years.
One such spinoff is the Black Works Studio Killer Bee Shaolin cigar, which makes use of a similar core recipe of a Honduran Habano binder and all-Nicaraguan filler. The most notable change, however, is the wrapper, which boasts a dark Mexican San Andrés primary leaf, as well as Ecuadorian Connecticut and candela accents. Furthermore, the cigars are rolled in a pointed 5½" x 46 belicoso format, resembling a killer bee's abdomen.
