It's a right of passage in the premium cigar biz' to craft a special smoking experience in honor of significant milestones, such as one's 10th anniversary. However, as Asylum Cigars isn't exactly known for their compliance to the norms, the company began their anniversary series in 2019 with the Asylum Seven, commemorating their... seventh anniversary.
The anniversaries continued each year since, now landing on the proper achievement with the Asylum Ten cigar. Like previous releases, the Asylum Ten cigar arrives with high-grade tobaccos without divulging much specificity. This includes an all-Honduran recipe from the famed fields of the Eiroa family, crafting the cigars out of The CLE Factory in two limited formats: Asylum 10 11/18 and Asylum 10 70x7.
What does the Asylum Ten 11/18 cigar taste like?
The Asylum Ten 11/18 is the more intricate of the two, showcasing the beloved 11/18 figurado size that the Eiroas have become known for over the past three decades. This size is one of the most unique in the cigar industry, sized at 6" x 48/54/48. Being skinny at the head and foot, the 11/18 expands at the middle, making for a bulbous look at the cigar's center. In terms of smoking, this makes for unique flavor evolution, offering a concentrated smoke on the palate and refined flavors of sweet earth, freshly baked pretzels, a touch of salt, and a gentle nutmeg zestiness.
