As part of the former El Artista's rebranding to Artista Cigars in 2022 came the introduction of Artista Studio Works (ASW), which is a creative outlet that allows for concepts outside the bounds of the more traditional Artista Cigars core line.
The first cigars out of ASW are the Paperboy Connecticut cigar and Paperboy Maduro cigar. Fun and lighthearted, the Paperboy cigars are bundled in faux newspaper, where wild tales from the Tabacalera El Artista factory adorn the backdrop. The cigars themselves feature the same core recipe of a Dominican negrito binder and fillers from Colombia, the Dominican Republic, and the United States. The difference between the two is the wrapper, with the ASW Paperboy Connecticut boasting a light Ecuadorian Connecticut Shade wrapper and the ASW Paperboy Maduro showcasing a Mexican San Andrés leaf.
What do the Artista Cigars ASW Paperboy cigars taste like?
With diverse tobacco recipes, the Artista Cigars ASW Paperboy cigars are surprisingly full in flavor, considering their wallet-friendly price points. The Paperboy Connecticut is mild-medium in body, offering smooth flavors of cedar, barnyard hay, and cream. Meanwhile, the Paperboy Maduro is medium-full in body, with standout notes of earth, toasted nutmeg, and cocoa.
