First debuting in 2020, the Aladino Habano Vintage Selection offered a unique experience from JRE Tobacco Company and the famed Eiroa family of Honduran cigarmakers. Like all Aladino cigars, the Vintage Selection centered on Honduran Corojo grown on the Eiroas' farms throughout the country, but this blend swapped the usual Corojo wrapper for a Honduran Habano leaf.
Additionally, when the cigars were first released, they'd already been aged for four to five years, being rolled in 2015 and 2016 (not to mention the leaves themselves already having been aged prior to being rolled). It wasn't long before new sizes were added, including both a toro and a lancero (in addition to the original Rothschild release). So, as production increases, the cigars will likely not always contain a specific amount of age, the intention is to continue bringing some degree of added age through the Aladino Habano Vintage Selection cigars.
What does the Aladino Habano Vintage Selection Toro cigar taste like?
In the toro size, the Aladino Habano Vintage Selection cigar is sized at 6" x 50, allowing for a clean draw and long smoking time of an hour and a half. With the cigar's added age, the shockingly low price point is a true gift to cigar hobbyists. This is a special smoke with an eye towards Cuban profiles of the '60s, including a medium body and standout characteristics of nutmeg, cedar, roasted chestnuts, and Redhots candy.
